Vincent “Bobby” Clem, 63, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, March 28, 2013. Bobby was born in Austin, Texas on August 23, 1949 to Theodore Vincent and Verna (Walker) Clem. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1967, and went on to attend TCU. In 1973 he married Frances Banks and they made their home in Ennis. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during Vietnam, working in the 93rd, 24th Evac Hospital. He worked for the United Postal Service and retired with over thirty years of faithful service as a postal carrier. In his spare time, he collected shortwave radios and studied Civil War History. He was a member of the American Legion of Ennis and an avid Ennis Lions Football fan. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Frances Clem; two sons: Casey Clem of Ennis and Larry Clem of Austin; two daughters: Kelly Smith and husband, Brent Smith of Waxahachie and Lindsay Clem of Dallas; his mother, Verna Clem of Italy; brother, Larry Walker Clem of Italy; one sister, Vivian Hugghins of Italy; mother-in-law, Mildred Banks of Ennis along with nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, T.V. Clem. Visitation will be on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Paul Banks officiating.
