2017801Warren W. Wilson, 97, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Warren was born in Telico, Texas on March 15, 1916 to Robert Marvin and Katie (Mairs) Wilson. He grew up in Telico and attended Telico Schools. He married Virginia Ladoris Russell and they made their home in Telico. He served his country proudly in the United State Army Air Corp during World War II from 1942-1945 in the Pacific Theater. He worked for John Deere as a mechanic, Texas Highway Department in construction and as a Farmer. He was a member of the Telico Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening. He is survived by grandchildren; Laura and Christopher Lemon of Telico, Jody B. Ward of Ennis, and Shelly Talley of Grandbury: great-grandchildren; Laticia Ward, Mallorie Castillo, Meagan Sims and Cortney Talley; great-great-grandchildren: Laurie Castillo and Calli Castillo along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Virginia in 1994, step-son, George Ward and two sisters, Opel Minter and Ruby Eves. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Telico Cemetery with Rev. Johnnie Mansell officiating. Pallbearers will be Wayne Minter, Charles Harrison, C.J.
