Robert “Ricky” Moore, 61, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013 in Ennis, Texas. Ricky was born in Ennis, Texas on September 26, 1951 to Herman K. and Saphronia L. (Smith) Moore, I. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1970. He served his country proudly in the United States Army for three years. He was a member of the VFW Post in Ennis and was a lifetime member. He was a member of the Holsey Chapel CME Church. He loved animals. His nieces and nephews were the joy of his life. He is survived by one daughter, Sebastiana “Maya” Black of Rice; one sister, Wanda Sykes of Dallas; aunt, Lula Washington of Ennis and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Herman Moore II. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his life will take place on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. J.E. Derrough and Rev. Jasper Hughes officiating.
