Mildred Adamcik

Mildred Adamcik, 91, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.

Mildred was born in Dallas, Texas on January 4, 1926 to James and Annie (Hubacek) Kostak.  She grew up in Alma and attended Alma and Ennis schools graduating from Ennis High School in 1944.  On September 16, 1950 she married Adolph Adamcik and they made their home originally in Dallas, then to Lancaster and she moved to Ennis in 2011.

She worked for ten years for Southwestern Bell as an operator and was a bookkeeper for A&A Car Parts of Dallas for over thirty-five-years.  She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church of Lancaster, KJZT #108, Sokol, WFLA and the Altar society.  She enjoyed cooking and her family was the light of her life.

She is survived by sons: Robert Adamcik and wife, Sandy, Ronny Adamcik and wife, Barbara, Kenny Adamcik and Patrick Adamcik and wife, Carol; fourteen grandchildren: ten great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Kostak; sisters: Ann Zabojnik and Marie Vrla along with a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Adolph Adamcik and one brother, Jim Kostak.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. with Rosary at 5 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father Henry Drozd as celebrant.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
