Helen Fae Garrett Monroe

Helen Fae Garrett Monroe, 88, left this world for a better place on Saturday, May 21, 2016, in Ennis, Texas.

Helen was born August 21, 1927, to Riley Allen and Mable (Richardson) Garrett. Helen’s life revolved around her family. Never thinking of herself, Helen’s only goal in life was the health, happiness and welfare of her children and grandchildren.

She worked for WalMart for over twenty-five years, retiring at age eighty three in 2011.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents Riley Allen and Mable Richardson Garrett, brother, William Garrett and sisters, Veda Allison, Lila Walker and Betty Marie Emerson.

She is survived by two brothers: Floyd Garrett and Allen Garrett and wife, Patricia; sister, Jeanie Allison; daughter, Rebecca Offield and husband, Richard; son, Steven R. Monroe and wife, Shirley; grandchildren: Kimberly Flaig and husband, Eldon, Scott Monroe and wife, Amy and Steven D. Monroe; great-grandchildren, Kira, Kenzie, Kyler and Kaydence Monroe and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2016, at 2 p.m. in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
